Maandag® Managed Services, part of Maandag® Holding, today announced that it has been awarded the joint tender from the Province of Drenthe, the Drenthe landscape manager Prolander and the Regional Implementation Service Drenthe (RUD). As custom staffing specialist, Maandag® Managed Services will be responsible for the entire staffing process of temporary professionals for the three collaborating parties. This involves highly specialised positions such as surveyors, archaeologists and experts on the New Environment Act. The signatures were put on the contracts today.
The Province of Drenthe, Prolander and the RUD often work together and deal with complex social issues. As there is overlap in the demand for the required profiles, they jointly decided to look for a single party that couldtake responsibility for staffing the required capacity. The three authorities opted for a broker because this allows them to bind professionals for larger projects in the long term.
Maandag® Managed Services is the new branch of Maandag® Holding that provides customised and flexible solutions. Freddy Verweij, CEO of Maandag Holding said, 'Hiring flexible workers is becoming increasingly complex. And that while governments largely run on flexible staffing, especially because they need very specific knowledge that is scarce in the current labour market. Maandag® is well versed in the public sector, and we can offer that capacity.'
This includes specialists such as surveyors, specifiers, architectural draftsmen, environmental experts, landscape architects, geologists, hydrologists, ecologists and archaeologists. But also positions for tasks and programmes requiring expertise in the field of the New Environment Act, the Housing Programme and the nitrogen dossier.
The professionals are often deployed for long-term projects. By the time the Province of Drenthe, Prolander and the RUD have to tender a new framework agreement with other suppliers, they would have had to say goodbye to their professionals who have not yet finished their assignments. Erwin Frölich, Director of Maandag® Managed Services: 'As a broker, we can contract the current suppliers, keeping the existing staffing in a lawful manner. The professionals can finish their work. So, the existing staffing is not jeopardised and at the same time we can hook up new suppliers to meet the future demand for staffing.'
