About the position

Duration: 6 months with possibility for extension

 

The Warehouse & Workshop Manager is responsible for shaping and driving warehouse and workshop strategies, with a strong focus on digitalization, automation, and efficiency. This role plays a key part in modernizing operations by implementing a digital warehouse management system integrated with automated procurement processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.

• Develop and implement strategies for:

• Spare parts and repair

• Inventory and asset management

• Financial reporting and stock value tracking

• Digital warehouse systems and automated procurement

• CMMS integration and logistics coordination

• Oversee warehouse and workshop contracts.

• Collaborate with procurement and other key stakeholders.

• Manage department budgets and ensure financial targets are met.

• Lead and develop a high-performing team, including staffing, performance management, and task delegation.

 

Mandate

• Operational Responsibility: Critical to warehouse operations and strategy (stock value approx. 400–800 MSEK).

• People Management: Full leadership responsibility for team and performance.

• Budget Ownership: Manage departmental budget in collaboration with procurement and finance.

• Decision-Making: Set warehouse and workshop strategies with significant impact on net working capital.

Education & Certifications

• BSc or MSc in Industrial, Logistics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar.

• Solid understanding of inventory and financial principles.

 

Experience

• 10+ years in heavy industry roles related to warehousing, procurement, or maintenance.

• Proven leadership in large organizations (250+ staff).

• Experience with CMMS, warehouse processes, and ISO 9001/14001/45001.

 

Skills & Competences

• Strong safety leadership.

• Deep knowledge of warehouse operations and procurement contracts.

• Skilled in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and digital warehouse tools.

• Excellent communication in English (Swedish is a plus).

• Strong stakeholder collaboration abilities.

• Calm under pressure and solution-oriented.

• Strategic thinker with a clear vision and roadmap mindset.

• Passionate about digital transformation and continuous improvement.
