About the position
Start: January Duration: 12 months Location: Stockholm
We are seeking a Senior Time Planner to play a key role in the commissioning phase of a large EPC project. In this role, you will lead scheduling activities with minimal supervision, ensuring that commissioning execution aligns with project objectives, contract requirements, and safety standards.
You will guide multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and commissioning to develop and maintain realistic and integrated project schedules. You will be responsible for progress measurement, performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting, providing management with the insight needed to make timely decisions.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of commissioning planning, influence project outcomes, mentor junior schedulers, and contribute to the development of Planning & Scheduling best practices and tools.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a safety-minded Planning & Scheduling team.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules with a focus on commissioning.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to align scopes and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, analyze performance, and advise corrective actions.
- Validate construction and subcontractor schedules to ensure overall feasibility.
- Establish and maintain earned-value-based progress and performance measurement systems.
- Prepare internal and client reports, including critical path updates and risk analysis.
- Coach, mentor, and guide junior scheduling staff in best practices.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of Planning & Scheduling procedures and tools.
- Represent Project Controls in client discussions, proposals, and multi-project coordination.
Job Requirements
What we are looking for
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10–15 years of experience in Planning & Scheduling, ideally in FEED and EPC projects.
- Proven experience in commissioning planning, system handover, and execution tracking.
- Strong understanding of procurement, materials control, cost control, and estimating interfaces.
- Mastery of planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6) and scheduling techniques.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven leadership skills: ability to motivate, coach, and mentor a Planning & Scheduling team.
- Ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and senior management.
- Adaptable and capable of handling high-pressure situations and changing priorities.
