About the Position
Do you have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance within industries such as IT, telecom, automotive, or embedded systems? We’re continuously expanding our network of skilled Software Test Engineers who are ready to take on new assignments across Sweden – both as freelancers and consultants. As a Software Test Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software systems throughout the development lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements.
We expect assignments primarily in Stockholm, Västerbotten, and Norrbotten, covering everything from web and cloud-based platforms to embedded systems and large-scale enterprise solutions.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases
- Performing manual and automated testing across different environments
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution
- Collaborating with development teams to improve software quality and testability
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards, processes, and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to continuous integration and continuous testing practices
- Supporting test documentation, reporting, and process improvements
Job Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who combine strong technical expertise in software testing with a proactive and quality-driven mindset. The ideal profile includes:
- Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar role within IT, telecom, automotive, or embedded systems
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
- Ability to design, execute, and maintain structured test plans and test cases
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
- Fluent English; Swedish language and experience with Swedish industry standards are valuable assets
