About the Position
We are currently building our network of skilled IT professionals for upcoming assignments with a leading international research and technology organisation based in southern Sweden. The organisation operates a large-scale scientific research facility where advanced technology, engineering and digital infrastructure come together to support world-leading research. Its IT environment is complex and highly integrated, with demanding requirements around reliability, security, quality and maintainability.
We expect to have upcoming assignments within software development over the coming months and are therefore looking to connect with experienced IT Software Developers who are interested in future opportunities.
In this type of role, you may be involved in designing, developing and maintaining software solutions that support business and operational needs. You may translate requirements into robust and maintainable implementations while working within agreed architecture, coding standards and secure development practices. The role may cover the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing and deployment to ongoing support and continuous improvement. You may collaborate closely with other developers, architects, testers, infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities may include:
- Designing, developing and maintaining software applications and solutions
- Translating business and operational requirements into robust technical implementations
- Working according to agreed software architecture and coding standards
- Applying secure development practices throughout the software lifecycle
- Writing and maintaining automated tests
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to development standards
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development and production environments
- Supporting application performance, reliability and maintainability
- Contributing to continuous improvement of applications and development processes
- Creating and maintaining technical and software documentation
- Collaborating with developers, architects, testers, infrastructure teams and other stakeholders

Job Requirements
We are interested in hearing from you if you have:
- Several years of experience in software development or a similar role
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining software applications
- Strong programming skills in one or more relevant programming languages
- Experience translating requirements into technical solutions
- Understanding of software architecture, design principles and coding standards
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
- Experience with version control and collaborative development practices
- Experience participating in code reviews
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software deployment practices
- Understanding of secure software development principles
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting applications in production
- Understanding of application performance, reliability and maintainability
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Experience from large-scale or technically complex environments is considered an advantage, as well as experience from research, engineering or other infrastructure-intensive organizations.
