Integration Developer, Java

Start: As soon as possible  Duration: Full time 40 h/week, 6 months with possibility for extension Location: Gothenburg, on site 

We are now looking for an experienced Integration Developer to join an international technology and industrial company with a complex IT landscape and a wide range of integrations between different systems and business areas. This is a role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software development, business understanding and solution architecture, and who wants to work with business-critical integrations in an international environment.

As an Integration Developer, you will play a key role in developing and further improving integrations between multiple systems and organizations. You are expected not only to be a strong developer, but also to understand business processes, business rules and information flows, and translate these into robust and maintainable technical solutions. You will work with understanding and analysing business requirements, identifying what information needs to be exchanged between systems, and defining how data should be transformed, when it should be sent, and how errors and exceptions should be handled. The role involves close collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders. You will also need a good understanding of end-to-end system landscapes and integration architecture. This includes designing integration solutions, defining message contracts and considering non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, reliability and maintainability.

This is a role for a senior Integration Developer who wants to combine hands-on development with business understanding and architectural thinking. You should be able to understand why an integration is needed, design the appropriate solution and be hands-on in implementing it. 

In short, we are looking for a senior and self-driven Integration Developer with strong Java skills and the ability to understand, design and implement business-critical integrations across complex system landscapes.

More specifically, we are looking for someone who:

• Has strong hands-on experience with Java development and integrations.
• Has experience developing and implementing integrations between multiple systems.
• Has experience with Spring Boot and Apache Camel. 
• Has experience with REST APIs, asynchronous processing and integration patterns.
• Has experience with Linux, Docker operations and databases
• Has a strong understanding of business logic, system interactions and data semantics.
• Can translate business requirements into technical integration solutions.
• Understands end-to-end system landscapes and integration architecture.
• Is comfortable working with requirements, information flows, message contracts and data transformation.
• Understands how errors, exceptions and dependencies between systems should be handled.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal language.
