About the Position
We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join an international product development environment focused on connected consumer products and digital solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the functional behavior of hardware, software, firmware, cloud services, and mobile applications.
The position has a strong focus on manual functional testing, end-to-end system validation, and API testing to ensure products perform reliably both as standalone devices and when connected to cloud platforms.
You will work closely with developers, product owners, and external partners to secure high product quality throughout the development lifecycle. The role also involves troubleshooting complex system-level issues across hardware, firmware, and software integrations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation
- Perform manual functional testing of connected products
- Execute end-to-end testing of device connectivity, cloud communication, telemetry, and data flows
- Perform API testing for backend services, integrations, authentication, and error handling
- Validate firmware and embedded software behavior in real-world and simulated environments
- Conduct regression testing after bug fixes and new releases
- Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and defect analysis
- Drive continuous improvements of testing processes, tools, and methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment
- Support third-party test partners to ensure aligned quality standards

Job Requirements
We are looking for someone with a structured and quality-focused mindset who enjoys solving technical challenges in complex connected environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience within Software QA, Firmware QA, or Embedded Systems Testing
- Strong experience in functional testing of physical or connected products
- Experience testing connected devices using technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, or cloud connectivity
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar
- Knowledge of BDD and Gherkin syntax
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with REST APIs and JSON
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
