Commissioning Engineer, Electrical Systems

About the Position

Our client is a global technology company delivering advanced solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects. As part of one of Sweden's most significant infrastructure developments, they are responsible for the installation, integration, and verification of critical electrical and technical systems within a major road tunnel.
We are now looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join the on-site commissioning and testing team. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating, testing, verifying, and documenting electrical and technical systems before they are tested and hand over to the client. Working closely with engineers, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, you'll be assisting the integration step in which all the separate installed sub-systems will be connected to the automation system to function as a single systems and ensure that installed and integrated systems perform according to specifications, safety requirements, and project standards.
This is a hands-on role based on site, where you'll work in a technically complex environment involving multiple integrated systems. You'll investigate issues, analyze test results, support troubleshooting activities, and contribute to ensuring that every system functions reliably before the project moves into the next phase.

Job Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience as a Commissioning Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Systems Engineer, or in a similar technical role.
- A strong technical understanding of electrical, control, or automation systems.
- Experience testing, verifying, commissioning, or troubleshooting technical systems in industrial, infrastructure, transportation, energy, manufacturing, or similar environments.
- The ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
- Experience documenting test results, deviations, and verification activities in a structured manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues on site.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
It is considered an advantage if you also have experience with:
- Large infrastructure, transportation, tunnel, railway, or road projects.
- Electrical power distribution, PLC-based control systems, SCADA, communication systems, or other integrated technical systems.
- Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, or system integration.
- Working in safety-critical or highly regulated technical environments.
- Electrical standards, low-voltage systems, or industrial automation.
