About the Position

Our client is an innovative industrial company driving the transition towards more sustainable manufacturing through the development of next-generation production facilities powered by green technology. As part of one of Europe's largest industrial transformation projects, they are building a state-of-the-art production site where engineering excellence, collaboration, and innovation are at the heart of every stage of the project.
We are now looking for a Project Engineer to join the Engineering team and play a key role in coordinating engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. In this role, you will act as the technical link between the client, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and suppliers, ensuring that engineering deliverables are completed on time, meet project requirements, and support successful construction and commissioning. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, facilitate technical communication between stakeholders, monitor engineering progress, and help resolve technical challenges as the project moves from design through execution.

You'll be part of a highly collaborative environment where you'll contribute to one of Europe's most ambitious industrial projects while working alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists from a wide range of disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and manage engineering interfaces.
- Monitor engineering schedule, progress, and deliverables.
- Expedite review of engineering documents with discipline leads/engineer.
- Follow the design changes process set for the project.
- Resolve technical issues and support procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Coordinate design reviews, HAZOP, constructability, and value engineering activities.
- Manage engineering risks and ensure timely resolution of technical queries.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Safe design, HSE requirements, applicable codes, and project standards.
- Participate in design risk assessments (HAZID/HAZOP) and ensure risks are eliminated or mitigated through design.
Job Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Several years of experience working in large industrial, infrastructure, energy, transportation, or EPC projects.
- Experience in EPC/EPCM project delivery, owner side
- Experience coordinating engineering activities across multiple technical disciplines.
- A solid understanding of engineering design processes, design reviews, and technical documentation.
- Experience collaborating with clients, engineering consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.
- The ability to manage technical interfaces and drive engineering activities forward.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
It's not a must, but considered a plus if you have experience with:
- HAZID/HAZOP
- Safe Design principles
- Commissioning or construction support
- Tunnel, transportation, or major infrastructure projects
