About the position

Start: 16 November 2026 End date: 30 September 2027 Location: Lund, Sweden Setup: Full-time, 40 hours/week Equipment: BYOD

We are looking for a Senior Kubernetes Engineer for an assignment with an international technology and engineering company in Lund.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining Kubernetes-based container platforms supporting scalable, cloud-native applications and on-premises environments. You will work in a technically complex environment where reliability, security and availability are critical.

As a Senior Kubernetes Engineer, you will take responsibility for the Kubernetes platform throughout its lifecycle, from provisioning and configuration to upgrades, scaling, optimization and troubleshooting. A key part of the role is ensuring that the platform remains secure, stable and scalable while supporting applications and systems used across the organization.

You will work with Kubernetes security controls such as RBAC, network policies and admission controllers, as well as performance optimization across CPU, memory, storage and networking. This includes working with CSI and CNI solutions and understanding the underlying network infrastructure and security requirements.

Automation is another important part of the assignment. You will build and maintain automated deployment and GitOps pipelines using technologies such as Helm, Argo CD and Flux, while also contributing to monitoring, logging and distributed tracing solutions to ensure strong platform observability.

The role involves close collaboration with development, operations and infrastructure teams, where you will contribute your Kubernetes expertise and help drive continuous improvements in platform stability, scalability and security. You will also troubleshoot complex Kubernetes and infrastructure-related issues when they arise.

The infrastructure supports business-critical operational environments. Some maintenance activities therefore need to be carried out during planned service windows, which means that occasional work outside normal office hours will be required.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, we believe you have

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes architecture and administration
  • Experience designing, provisioning, upgrading and scaling Kubernetes clusters
  • Strong knowledge of Docker and Linux administration
  • Experience with Helm Charts and Argo CD
  • Programming or scripting experience in Go, Python or Bash
  • Good understanding of network topologies, network security and firewalls
  • Experience with Kubernetes security, including RBAC and network policies
  • Experience troubleshooting complex Kubernetes and infrastructure issues
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

    Nice to have
  • Experience with Terraform or Ansible, Azure DevOps and Windows Server environments is considered an advantage. Swedish language skills are also beneficial.
