About the Position

  • Leading the design development of intuitive, user centered user interfaces for medical software applications.
  • Conducting user research and interviews as well as usability tests to understand customer needs and potential risk situations.
  • Translating complex clinical workflows into simple, elegant design solutions.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes and detailed UI specifications for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, end users and developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product goals.
  • Advocate for usability and accessibility best practices to comply with medical device regulations.
  • Maintain and evolve our corporate design to ensure consistency across all products.
  • Staying up to date on UX/UI trends, tools and best practices relevant to the medical device industry

Job Requirements

  •  You have at least 2 years of professional experience as a UX/UI designer, preferably in the medical technology or regulated industry.
  • You have a degree from a higher technical college/university with a design focus or a solid technical education.
  •  You have a strong portfolio showing your user-centered design process and solutions.
  • You have expertise in usability principles, human factors and accessibility standards and experience with UX research methods, including user interviews, usability testing and data analysis.
  • You have very good knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD.
  •  You have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team as well as a proactive and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with medical device design standards (e.g. IEC 62366) is a strong plus.
  • You have strong German and English language skills
