About the Position
Start: January 2026 Duration: Full time 40 h/week, until August 2026 Location: Stockholm, hybrid work model
We at Maandag Nordic are looking for a backend-focused developer on behalf of a client working with advanced logistics solutions. The company builds systems that combine software, hardware, and third-party technology to support efficient operations across several industries.
In this role, you will join a small and highly skilled development team where the main focus lies on backend development, integrations, and Python-based services, with occasional work on frontend components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services, with a strong emphasis on Java-based systems
- Work extensively with Python modules and automation tools as part of the company’s application platform
- Implement and refine integrations between internal systems, third-party technologies, and hardware-related components
- Enhance and extend the logistics platform, contributing to system architecture, stability, and performance
- Participate in architectural discussions, technical decision-making, and continuous improvement of backend structures
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring reliable system behavior across software and hardware interfaces
- Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and operational stakeholders to drive backend-focused solutions
- Provide light frontend support (JavaScript/HTML) when needed, though this is a minor part of the role
Job Requirements
Preferred Skills & Experience
-Solid background in software development, ideally with senior-level expertise in Java
-Practical experience with Python, and familiarity with C/C++ or hardware-adjacent environments
-Competence in JavaScript/HTML; experience with Angular or Qt is a plus
-Academic background in computer science, IT, software engineering or similar
-Strong written and spoken English skills (a Scandinavian language is a plus)
-Structured, analytical and able to work independently
-Experience with systems used in healthcare or hospitals is considered an advantage
