Role description
In this role, you will be an essential part of one of the divisions within Process Automation that delivers solutions and services in digitalization, electrification, and automation for several different industry segments. As a Automation Engineer, you are involved in all phases of the project, from sales support and concept development to commissioning and after-sales support. You participate in project delivery alongside the project team, which may include tasks such as developing functional specifications, procuring hardware and software, system integration, programming, as well as preparing system and test documentation, and performing verification/validation through internal testing and commissioning at the customer site.
Job Requirements
Qualification
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
● Professional experience in similar roles within automation
● Knowledge and hands-on experience within relevant systems
● Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required, and Swedish proficiency is a plus
● You hold a category B driver's license, as travel is required for the role
Skills
● Experience in PLC programming, or languages such as C#, Java or Python
● Experience in applications, system installation, and upgrades
● Knowledge and have an interest in industrial OT/IT
● Effective communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external clients
It is considered a plus if you:
● Have experience and knowledge of System 800xA in applications, system installation and upgrades
● Have expertise or experience in electrical design and instrumentation
Personality
You are a driven individual who thrives in a leadership role where you can work independently, take responsibility, and show initiative. You have strong collaboration skills and are accustomed to working in a team. You are goal-oriented, communicative, and customer-focused, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
