About the Position

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer who enjoys hands-on testing in a lab environment and wants to work closely with modern industrial machinery. In this role, your main focus will be on software validation, ensuring that new features and updates for embedded systems, displays, and connected machine solutions work reliably before deployment.
You will be working with operational machines, embedded software, onboard displays, electronics, and IoT-based systems, but with a strong emphasis on testing the software behavior, functionality, and integration.
Key responsibilities
- Test and verify software functionality on machines in operation
- Validate new features for embedded systems, displays, and connected solutions
- Operate machines via onboard interfaces to assess software behavior
- Connect machines to computer systems for software diagnostics and logs
- Work with IoT/connected systems to test communication, data flow, and system stability
- Identify, document, and report software defects
- Contribute to test plans, test cases, and continuous improvements in the testing process
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, we see that you have:
-Experience in software testing, preferably in embedded environments
-Understanding of machine functionality or interest in learning how machinery interacts with software
-Good computer skills and experience working with diagnostics tools, logs, or test frameworks
-A structured, analytical, and independent way of working
-Good command of English (Swedish is a plus, but not required)
-Hardware or electronics experience is a merit but not mandatory
