About the position
We are looking for a proactive Azure Cloud Engineer with a structured approach to problem solving and a quick grasp of our two cloud platforms. We are primarily responsible for the platform, which is operated exclusively in Switzerland. In addition, we maintain specific workloads in our company's regional cloud. In your new role, you will be actively involved in all phases of the life cycle and ensure optimal operation and further development, especially automation. We also support the business in the efficient and productive implementation of all future integration of new applications. For all of these tasks and activities, we can draw on the broad know-how of our global company.
How you can make an impact
- Develop and manage the technical capabilities of our cloud operations team in Switzerland.
- Build and maintain the cloud platform while also supporting multiple Azure solutions to meet business needs.
- Collect and exchange best-practice knowledge among our international cloud teams.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions to deploy platform and application workloads.
- Monitor and manage technical escalations for cloud operations and identify new tools and practices to improve upon our cloud platform.
Job Requirements
Who we are looking for
- Not only are you curious and comfortable to adapt to new technologies, but you're also a great learner with the ability to share your knowledge with your team members.
- You are a certificated Azure Admin Associate (AZ-104) and Azure DevOps Expert (AZ-400), any additional certifications (cloud architecture, system administration, or development) are a great asset.
- Over the course of your career, you have gained experience of automation and provisioning approaches, using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, Bash, PowerShell, Python, and C#.
- In-depth knowledge of configuring and managing Windows and Linux environments, experience with infrastructure (databases, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls, networking) in Azure and on-premises data centres would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of agile software development tools and methodologies.
