Senior Information Security Operation Engineer – Broadcasting & Digital Media Security

Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Broadcasting & Media Security

Design and implement security architectures for broadcast, production, and distribution systems. Secure MAM/CMS platforms and IP-based broadcast systems (SMPTE ST 2110). Ensure compliance with EBU, SMPTE, and NIST media security standards. 2. Content Protection & DRM

Manage DRM systems (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) and content encryption strategies. Implement watermarking, forensic tracking, and CAS for broadcast services. Monitor and mitigate piracy and unauthorized content use. 3. Streaming & OTT Security

Secure streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, RTMP) and CDN infrastructure. Protect live/on-demand OTT content and cloud media platforms (AWS, Azure, Google). 4. Infrastructure & Production Security

Safeguard production environments, APIs, and collaborative workflows. Secure cloud-based media platforms and processing pipelines. 5. Risk Management & Compliance

Conduct media security risk assessments and ensure compliance with UAE broadcasting regulations. Monitor emerging content security threats and respond to live broadcast incidents.

Requirements:

· Minimum 6 years in information security with at least 3 years specialized in broadcasting, digital media, or content distribution security.

· Deep understanding of media production workflows, transmission systems, and content protection technologies.

· Proven experience securing broadcast operations, DRM systems, streaming infrastructure, and OTT services.

· Strong awareness of media industry threat landscape including piracy and content leakage.

· Expert in broadcasting technologies, media production workflows, and transmission systems.

· Proficient in content protection systems including DRM, CAS, and watermarking.

· Strong knowledge of streaming protocols, CDN security, and anti-piracy technologies.

· Experience with MAM and CMS security, video encoding/transcoding, and OTT platforms.

· Knowledge of IP-based broadcast systems (SMPTE ST 2110) and cloud media services.

· Familiarity with production infrastructure security, collaborative editing, and remote production workflows.

· Awareness of UAE and regional broadcasting regulations and media security standards.

· Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).

· Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

· Ability to balance security requirements with time-critical production workflows.

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

· Available to respond during irregular hours including live events, breaking news, and major broadcasts.

Mandatory Certifications

· CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – REQUIRED

· CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) – REQUIRED

· At least one additional certification:

o GIAC Security Certifications (GCIA, GCIH, GPEN)

o CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)

o Media-specific certifications (SMPTE, EBU standards)

o DRM vendor certifications (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay)

o Cloud media platform certifications (AWS Elemental, Azure Media Services, Google Cloud Media CDN)

Position Overview
