Employment Details

• Contract Duration:
  • Fixed-term contract until 31.12.2025 (12 months).
• Working Hours:
  • 40 hours per week, guaranteed, with no overtime required.

Optional On-Call Support

This responsibility is completely optional and left to the contractor’s discretion.

Scope of On-Call Support:

• Availability:
  • Be reachable by phone for urgent issues, such as fixing critical bugs or assisting clients during emergencies.
• Typical Tasks:
  • Troubleshooting high-priority system issues.
  • Providing immediate fixes or guidance for critical problems.
  • Collaborating with team members (if needed) to ensure effective resolution.
• Frequency:
  • Defined case-by-case with prior agreement.
  • No fixed schedule—entirely voluntary and flexible

Main Tasks:

1. Requirement Coordination:

• Collaborate with the Product Owner, Test Management, and Developers to define and align business and technical requirements.

1. Test Design and Execution:

• Create and design test cases based on business and technical requirement concepts.
• Perform manual and automated testing and document the results.

1. Error Analysis and Resolution:

• Coordinate the analysis and correction of identified errors and conduct retesting with the development team.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Work with the team to continuously enhance testing and acceptance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Testing:

• Design and develop automated tests using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Create and execute API tests with tools like Postman and RestAssured.

1. Maintenance and Improvement:

• Regularly update and refine automated test scripts to meet project needs.
• Continuously improve testing processes for better efficiency and coverage.

1. Reporting and Documentation:

• Analyze test results, identify issues, and prepare detailed technical documentation.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to improve code quality and testing processes.

1. Innovation and Team Contribution:

• Develop creative tools and solutions to enhance team efficiency and work quality.
• Share tools, ideas, and best practices to foster a culture of innovation within the team.

1. Platform and Database Testing:

• Use Docker, AWS, and Jenkins for CI/CD and managing test environments.
• Perform database testing with PostgreSQL and SQL queries.

Optional On-Call Availability:

• Contractors may choose to be available for on-call duties to address urgent issues, such as fixing critical bugs or assisting clients.
• This arrangement is optional and not mandatory, with additional compensation provided. The decision to take on on-call responsibilities is left to the individual.

Our Tech Stack:

• Tools: Java, Tosca, Jira, Xray, SoapUI, Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Jenkins, Shell, Siebel.
• Technologies: SQL, PLSQL, XML, REST APIs.

Your Profile:

• Experience:
  • Extensive experience in testing complex software systems and database query methods.
  • Proficiency with Tosca as a primary test tool, with additional experience in Jira and Xray.
  • Strong background in SQL, Jenkins (or similar), Shell scripting, XML, and REST interfaces.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Advanced knowledge in Java and Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
  • Proven expertise in API testing using tools like Postman and RestAssured.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and containerization tools like Docker.
  • Experience with database testing using PostgreSQL.
• Skills:
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to grasp complex concepts quickly.
  • Fluent communication in German and English (minimum B2 level in both).
  • Solid understanding of IT system architecture for system-level issue resolution.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
